Supreme Grand Master Azrael-A Conversion Project

After looking through the Dark Angels codex one image really made me go "Wow, i must have a mini like that!". Unfortunately GW did not have one, so i set about making my own. This is a WIP of my attempt to convert a space marine into the Dark Angels Supreme Grand Master Azrael.

Thanks for the comments Zippy, The pic doesnt show it too well but he is around 1 1/2 heads taller than a normal marine. Also the powerfist and other arm is only added to check scale etc, as i mentioned the finished version will have identical arms to the artwork, also the robes on his chest havnt been started. Ok this is a cool idea but I think you are doing a few things wrong. His legs need more length, probably not too OTT but he needs to stand taller than regular marines IMO. Also, why does he have a power fist? Azrael is a commander of men not a psycho combat monster, doesn't fit the fluff at all and it ruins the slender lines of the model. When you add the icons you may want to add a thin skin of GS over the robes so you can press the icons into it so they are more a part of the miniture rather than just sitting on it. The robes also cover his chest.

I know the scultpure comes close to matching the picture but I feel the robe is more of a chicks slinky lets go out somewhere posh this evening, only cause its so tight. That said it is fabulous greenstuffing, I think your details are coming out well, just would like a bit beefier robes.
